We didn't start out building studios. We started out selling the gear that goes inside them.

Fifteen years ago, Media Capital was an AV retail business in Bangalore. Every week, people would walk in to buy consoles, monitors, and microphones — and then call us back months later, frustrated, because the room they'd put it all in was working against them. Great equipment in an untreated room sounds like expensive disappointment. So we started fixing the rooms too.

That side of the work grew until it became the work. Today we're a full acoustic design and build practice — we model the room, treat it, isolate it, source the equipment, install it, and calibrate everything before we hand over the keys. Because we're also a distributor for over 800 professional AV brands, we specify what the room actually needs, not what a catalogue wants to move that quarter.

We're still based in Bangalore, still answer our own phones, and still walk every site before we quote on it. Nine kinds of space, one standard of sound — that isn't a slogan so much as a habit we can't break.
